Lazy day

Done bugger all today. Was going to go out somewhere (don't know where) but couldn't be bothered! Just sat in, didn't even get fully dressed today, brilliant. Lazed away on internet (nothing much going on on there) listening to music (and exploring new stuff), watching TV, eating food and a little bit of tidying up.
Think I sepnt a few hours just browsing Wikipedia. A great site, you look at one thing then you can just get carried away clicking and following their links. Great stuff.
Made myself one of my lovely Peri Peri Chicken dishes tonight. Somehow it always comes out just brilliant and delicious. With boiled rice, sweetcorn and peppers.

Back to work tomorrow midday. Got the 'going every bloody where' shift! From Watford Gap to Leicester and Nottingham, down to Leicester again, break at the Gap, down to London with a break there, up to Coventry and Birmingham, then back to depot. Nice little shift, although the roadworks at Fosse roundabout at M1 J21 have reduced it to half capacity, very very busy, you can imagine the chaos at 4pm. Think tomorrow I might try using A50 then nip on at 21a.
Last time I did that shift I called into Milton Keynes too as everything was late, a great piece of organisation on my part that reduced the amount of late running passengers considerably by switching some around. Worked well. Of course, tomorrow I won't need to as the traffic will be good and no selfish arseholes will cause pile ups on the M1 this time delaying me.
Then I have the same shift on Thursday too.

Hopefully on Saturday I'll be able to catch up with a buddy I've not seen in a little while. If you read a while back I reported that his mum had lung cancer. Well she passed away about 8 weeks ago. He seems to be handling it ok, I guess it's because the family expected it for a while, and she was a happy person so probably made the best of what she had.
Even so, I bet that the amount of smokers that read this that rethink their habits will be a total of zero. Well, doesn't matter if they all want to kill themselves, we need all the room we can make for the Poles I guess! Harsh, but hey, their choice. They aren't naive. Not even those Americans that tried to sue cig-makers for the risks...pathetic.

Just lazing around this evening, still, watching Opeparpeperpen All Hours and listening to music. At the same time! Because I'm brilliant, see. I'm a man who can actually multitask.

Take care and be good.

I listen to music and the news at the same time. I haven't been able to tell if this means that I'm not paying attention to either or if I'm listening just enough to both.
One of my kids wrote an entry in Wikipedia, one about a ruler somewhere a very, very long time ago. It's hard to be the least intelligent being in the house; if it weren't for the houseplants that's what I'd be all right.
(You might be amused to know that the letters in your anti-spam box are AmOco, the name of a BIG oil company here in the States. Do you suppose they link the antispam things to what people do professionally?

I need to learn multitasking from both of you. It's good to be brilliant

If you're the least intelligent Simplelsie, then you must be living with a lot of cutting edge brain surgeons and rocket scientists! I do know what it's like to talk to my plants now and then though.

Nik, I love peri-peri (though I have to remove the chicken).

You might find it simply hasn't hit your pal yet. Even when these things are expected, it sometimes takes a while for the truth to register because death by cancer is really quite a painful thing, at least that's my experience.

Haven't got a clue what "Opeparpeperpen All Hours" is though I'll go with the music.
Hey, you've changed your look again

You don't need to be clever to be intelligent! Nobody knows everything, I'm sure you know tons that your kids don't.
Guess you could be right about my friend, not sure that it's really hit me yet either, although it does feel very surreal now she's gone as I've known her for years. Time will tell I expect.
As for the last bit, it's 'Open All Hours' in the style of Arkwright lol. And yeah I'm very fussy about style, like to keep things fresh. And I do get bored easily sometimes.

I can multitask, i listen to music and work simultaneously , when i was studying i used to do it with the telly on. My friends could never get that.
