Coffee and lights

As I come off the motorway to come home, I turn right at a roundabout, onto a dual carriageway, then come off a slip road about half a mile. TomTom says 'take the exit, and keep in the left hand lane' Bugger that! It should say 'floor it and overtake as many 55mph-dawdlers as possible'. Maybe I should write in.
It's good at what it does, it even predicts arrival times at the destination. Although setting it for my route home from work, I did beat that time today by 6 minutes.

Got early shift number 5 of 6 tomorrow. Nice quiet saturday morning traffic I hope. So it should be a 2 hour run down from Coventry, 1 hour 45 minute break in London, 3 hour run up to Birmingham, 1 hour break there (shopping time!), 55 minute run back to the changeover point via Cov again then home. A strange shift that, especially that last break when so close to finishing! And Birmingham at midday saturday, I'm not expecting it to be quiet at all, especially as our new stop is right in the middle of a busy local bus terminus.
Then the same shift as today on sunday, monday off then back to glorious lates! Should be nice. I do like lates.

It's my brother's birthday tomorrow. He'll be 23. And he had his first ever job interview just less than a week ago. No idea if he'll get it, nice if he did but with that lack of experience it will count against him I'm sure. He's been advised many times since he laft school to get a job, anything, even something simple like part time shop work while he studied but no, he didn't want to know. He's one of those that expects to come out of uni with a degree (he got a 2.2) and walk into a top computing job. If only life was that simple eh! As they say, he made his bed...

Time for bed again soon, these earlies are quite exhausting so must sleep early to compensate. Who knows maybe soon I'll actually get round to being able to comment on peoples blogs again! I've been lacking recently I know, I do like to leave comments wherever and whenever I can. But just not felt like it lately, only just been able to do these couple of entries of my own.

I'll leave you with a few pics taken with the Samsung D600 today.

Possibly the best coffee in the world. Costa ground coffee, steamed milk, molasses sugar, frothy top, ground cocoa dusting with chunks of chocolate at the side (which are dipped in to scoop up froth) just amazing. This is actually made by me at home, so it's my speciality !
mmmm Coffee

A funky green light and piercing '6' (my lucky/magic number), taken on our Neoplan this morning during my break in Birmingham (nothing else to do at 5.30am)...

Wow - arriving 6 mins ahead of time is pretty impressive. Usually these things underestimate by at least half, as I have learnt to my cost when touring around the country. Arriving an hour late for a show doesn't generally go down too well...

It's not like I drive at silly speeds or anything, cruise around 80 for the motorway, it predicts 22mins for my trip to work. I'll have to try it in rush hour I guess.

Send coffee.
(That one in the picture.)
Quick.
Can't hold out much longer.
(Don't forget to send the chocolate, too.)
Gasp.
